Data we collect
Personal contact details, usernames, payment details, tax ID, IP addresses and any information you voluntarily submit.
Data transmission
Data may be shared with payment providers, shipping companies, tax advisors, legal advisors and newsletter platforms (MailChimp). Newsletter data is stored in the USA; MailChimp retains it until cancellation.
Storage duration
- Contract data: retained per commercial and tax law (7 years).
- Lifetime license data: stored permanently.
- SaaS data: retained during the contract term.
- Non-contractual inquiries: retained for 3 years.
Cookies and log files
Strictly necessary storage is used for security, navigation and remembering your privacy choice. The tecit_consent cookie stores only the consent version, your analytics and marketing choices, and a timestamp for 180 days. It is required to remember your choice and is used under the exception for technically necessary storage in § 165(3) TKG 2021.
If a landing-page URL contains standard UTM campaign parameters or advertising click identifiers, they remain in the URL and volatile page memory until you make a privacy choice. If marketing is enabled, we store an allowlisted copy together with the landing path and first/latest capture timestamps in your browser's local storage for up to 90 days. If marketing is disabled, no attribution record is written to local storage; the parameters may be passed through TEC-IT links in the URL so they remain available during the current journey. The supported identifiers are Google and YouTube Ads (gclid, dclid, gbraid, wbraid, gclsrc), Meta Ads (fbclid), TikTok Ads (ttclid) and LinkedIn Ads (li_fat_id).
Analytics and marketing cookies or similar storage are used only after you confirm your choice under § 165(3) TKG 2021 and Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. Optional storage remains disabled until confirmation and can be changed at any time through Cookie Settings in the website footer. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
Server log files contain access date/time, IP address, referrer URL and browser information. IP addresses are deleted after 30 days.
Analytics and third-party services
- Google Analytics 4 — event-based analytics with IP anonymisation; data stored for 2 months. Analytics storage is enabled only after consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
- Google Tag Manager and Advanced Consent Mode — the tag manager loads with analytics and advertising storage denied by default. While optional storage is denied, Google may receive cookieless measurement requests containing limited request metadata such as the page URL, referrer, user agent, timestamp, consent state and a per-page random number. Google Analytics and advertising cookies are not read or written in this state. We use these limited signals for aggregate performance measurement and conversion modelling based on our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Advertising data redaction is enabled and URL passthrough is disabled.
- Google Ads — conversion and campaign measurement storage is enabled only after marketing consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
- Google reCAPTCHA v3 — spam prevention; legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Hotjar — heatmaps and session recordings; data processed in Ireland; retention 365 days; consent-based.
- YouTube — embedded videos transmit data to YouTube after consent.
Mobile apps (Android / iOS)
Our apps minimise data collection, contain no in-app advertising and perform no keystroke logging. Credentials are stored locally for online-service access only. Device activation records use a masked IP and hashed device ID. Crash and performance statistics are anonymised via Google Firebase.
Account and postings
External sign-in (Google / Microsoft) transmits a unique identifier, email and profile information for authentication only. Information you post grants TEC-IT an unrestricted, irrevocable license to use, reproduce, display, modify, transmit and distribute it.
