How to print a Galia ETI 9 label

Pick the template for your load
Open Single / Master for one package, Master Multiple for several packages of one part or Master Mixed for packages of different parts. Take a license plate or L3P version only if your customer asks.

Overwrite the samples with your despatch data
The standard requires label data to match your electronic data interchange (EDI) messages. Number each label yourself, up to 9 digits and unique for at least a year; in Generic, clear the sample license plate, or it replaces the number.

Print the PDF at 100%
At 97%, TEC-IT's 0.339 mm narrow bar falls under the standard's 0.33 mm minimum. Use white weatherproof paper; the standard recommends 120 g/m² or more.
What is a Galia label?
A Galia label, or étiquette Galia, follows a GALIA recommendation, such as the A5 ETI 1 or the 210 × 74 mm ETI 9. ETI 9 identifies packaging units (UC) and handling units (UM) such as pallets. GALIA, with Stellantis and Renault on its board, calls Odette's OTL 3 version 3.1 strictly equivalent to ETI 9. The standard quoted here is that English text.
What TEC-IT's ETI 9 templates print
The top band names consignee (DESTINATAIRE), unloading point and consignor (EXPEDITEUR). Order number and destination follow, then part number, weights, date and quantity. The bottom band holds label number or license plate and data such as description, batch and seller code; your address runs small under its barcode.
TEC-IT's templates print French titles and bar-code up to six fields in Code 128. Most of their titles end with the data identifier (DI) that leads their barcode, as in CODE PRODUIT (P). You type the value alone; the template adds the DI.
Who asks for ETI 9 labels, and why
Faurecia's December 2014 guideline for manifest deliveries makes ETI 9 its default for packages and handling units, especially in Europe and Asia. Grupo Antolin (2020) wants ETI 1 or ETI 9 outside the NAFTA region. HellermannTyton France (2025) asks for Galia-standard labels on each container and pallet.
The standard notes that the Global Transport Label, with one license plate barcode and small text, does not always serve the shop floor. On ETI 9, part number, quantity and label number print large.
Printing labels for a whole delivery
Without an account, you fill in one label at a time and set copies, which repeat its label number. For one label per package, sign in for free and add the packages to a data sheet; a sequence numbers them, and all rows print together.
Faurecia (2014) lets suppliers print from its DELJIT messages. Connect SAP or Oracle to TFORMer Server, or load Excel or CSV lists into TFORMer Workstation; TFORMer Designer adapts the layout, for example to English titles.

Checks before the first delivery
- Titles and marking. TEC-IT's templates print French titles and ETI 9; Faurecia's 2014 sample shows English ones, and its guideline fixes ETI9. The standard leaves the language to the partners: confirm both with your customer.
- Mixed loads. The standard forbids net weight and batch number on them; TEC-IT's mixed templates accept both and pre-fill a sample net weight. Clear them unless your customer wants net weight, as Faurecia (2014) does.
- Code 128B. The standard and Faurecia name it; TEC-IT's templates switch subsets for shorter symbols of the same data. Ask if your customer checks the subset.
How ETI 9 differs from related labels
Odette's OTL 3 version 3.1 is the English text GALIA calls strictly equivalent to ETI 9. OTL 1 equals GALIA's A5 ETI 1.
The Global Transport Label, ETI 8 in GALIA's French version, uses DataMatrix codes.

The North American B-10 label: Faurecia (2014) allows it in the Americas, and Grupo Antolin (2020) asks for AIAG labels in the NAFTA region.
What to enter in each ETI 9 field
The Generic template numbers none of its fields, so rows 1–19 follow its inputs, like the markers above. Inputs printed in one field share a row; rows marked — only steer the layout. Captions are quoted as printed, without the DI set by label or reference type; Max. gives the standard's limits, none of which the template checks.

Which ETI 9 template fits your load
Twelve templates fix the load type: Single / Master, Master Multiple or Master Mixed. Each has four versions: plain, with a license plate replacing the label number, with an L3P routing code replacing the order number, or with both. Generic sets all of this, and the reference type, through its inputs.
