What a LinkedIn QR code opens
A LinkedIn QR code stores the linkedin.com address of a member profile, a company page or a share link in the code itself, with no redirect service. LinkedIn's app gives you a code for your own profile; this generator builds all three, sized for print.
Badges, stands, brochures and press releases
LinkedIn suggests its member QR code for brochures, event materials, conference badges, lanyards and résumés. At a trade-fair stand, each salesperson's badge carries their profile code, so visitors find them later without collecting cards.
A company page code suits the stand wall or a product brochure, where readers should follow the firm, not one employee. A share code fits a press release; a signed-out phone first gets LinkedIn's sign-in, set to return to the share link for your page.
One scan instead of spelling a name
LinkedIn launched its QR code in 2018 so people could find someone they met without spelling names. A printed code does the same from paper; short profile names keep it small.
Up to 8 characters after /in/ fit QR Code version 2, 25 × 25 modules. At 300 dpi, 5 dots per module give 0.4233 mm, one dot above DENSO WAVE's recommended minimum. The symbol is then 10.58 mm wide, 13.97 mm with its 4-module quiet zone.
A code for every salesperson
Each employee needs their own code. Without an account, the generator makes one at a time as PNG, GIF or JPG; SVG comes with a plan. After a free sign-in, a data sheet delivers the whole team's codes at once.

LinkedIn's 100-character maximum for custom names takes 41 × 41 modules: 20.74 mm wide with its quiet zone at 0.4233 mm.
Before you print: addresses can change
- Custom profile names can change up to five times in six months, and an old name can later pass to another member.
- Page addresses can change once in 30 days; the old one points to your Page until it is reassigned to another Page on request.
- Only public profiles have a public profile address.
- The default image has no margin: set a quiet zone in the generator or keep it clear in your layout.
Two input mistakes
- A whole address in a profile code. The generator adds its prefix anyway, so the address appears twice. Enter the name alone.
- A shared address with &. It goes in unencoded, so by the URL Standard's form rules everything from its first & leaves your address and becomes a share-link parameter. Share an address without &.

How do I get my LinkedIn QR code?
In the LinkedIn mobile app: tap the QR code in the search bar on the home page, then My code, to save or share it. That code covers only your own profile; for company pages, share links or print files, use this generator.
Does LinkedIn offer QR codes for company pages?
LinkedIn's help describes QR codes for member profiles and groups; TEC-IT found no article on company pages. The company variants here build the Page's public address, which a super admin edits under Page info.
Does a printed code survive a profile URL change?
For six months, or until seven days after you unlink the old address; no other member can claim it before then. After that, another member can take it and your printed codes would open their profile: reprint in time.
Do people need the LinkedIn app to scan the code?
No. The code holds an ordinary web address, which the iPhone and Pixel camera apps open. LinkedIn documents its in-app scanner for its own member codes, so test yours on your contacts' phones.
