Smart Database Connector: How to Configure a 32-Bit ODBC DSN for ACCDB Databases
If you want to use accdb databases (created with Microsoft Access 32- or 64-bit edition) with 32-bit software (like TWedge, TFORMer and Smart Database Connector) you need to set up a suitable 32-bit ODBC data source.
- For ACCDB support, you may need the Microsoft 365 Access Runtime, which includes the Access Database Engine. A 32-bit connector requires a 32-bit driver. Before installing, check Microsoft’s requirements for compatibility with the version and architecture of Office already installed; this Runtime is not compatible with Office products installed using Windows Installer (MSI).
- After installation adjust a new 32-bit ODBC DSN using this driver and use that DSN. For more information, visit Microsoft's questions page: Where are the 32bit ACCDB ODBC drivers in Windows 10?
